Why audio?
I love, love, love, audiobook. I listen to them when I travel, when I cook, when I work, when I walk and any other chance I get.
There are so many authors publishing amazing books that can really help you to advance your life and your business. However, I understand with all of the online information it can be difficult to create a space in your schedule to read more. This why I recommend to all my clients, that if they have not done so already done so to sign up for an Audible subscription. Choose Yourself Guide to Wealth – by James Altucher
I featured Jame’s book Choose Yourself in my first post about audiobooks. I love James Altucher, I love his books and I love listening to him read them on Audible. Whilst this is titled as a wealth book, this is not about the law attraction, Jame’s approach is very business orientated.
Although he would never call himself a business coach, I think he gives some of the best and most honest advice about business and what you should and should not be doing.
You can start with this book but if you are able I would recommend you listen to Choose Yourself first as you will start to understand the elements of the books when he talks about being an idea machine.
James has failed several times and his approach to this is brilliant. He has walked the walk and then built himself back up again. He is well read and gives real-world advice.
I have listened to this book several times and will listen to it several times more.
It is a must to add this one to your Audiobook library.

They ask you answer – by Marcus Sheridan
I love this book. It is so simple, yet so brilliant and it is a constant recommendation to my clients when they moan about having to write regular blog posts.
What this is about is all in the title. Marcus was in partnership in a failing swimming pool company during the 2008 recession. One day so downtrodden with how hard he was working to try and keep afloat a sinking ship. He wrote a very honest blog post. This started to garner some interest so he wrote more always under the principle to use the blog to pass on information that people wanted, to be upfront and honest and not to sell on the posts.
This approach turned their business around, so much so that Marcus stepped away from a full-time job with the swimming pool company to teach this full time.
I have a podcast episode called Content is Queen the importance of constantly creating content and Marcus’ story is a perfect example why. This is a very easy book to listen to. Looks of light bulb moments and packed full of simple and useful advice.
Whether you write regular blogs or if you can’t work out why you need to write blogs this book is a must to listen to.

The Pumpkin Plan – by Mike Michalowicz
I fell across this book whilst researching what book to listen to next and was not expecting much only to now announce this book to be one of my new favourites.
To put it simply, this book is about niching, not following the crowd and putting processes in place.
The brilliance of this book is Mike’s ability to tell the story of the world of giant pumpkins and how he applied the process of growing a giant pumpkin to growing a successful business.
Mike’s delivery, his stories and the fact that he has walked the walk makes the book so listenable. I loved this book so much that I also brought the printed version so I could make notes all over the book.
I can not stress enough how amazing this book is. I think my clients and friends are sick of me talking about it. But I say, ‘BUY IT NOW!!!!!’

The Four, the hidden DNA of Amazon, Apple, Facebook & Google – by Scott Galloway
This book is next level. If you have ever watched any of L2 Inc’s YouTube channel you will realise that this company is about data and analyse.
I am so fascinated by this man and the work that he is doing. You are listening to someone who knows their shit. It is an incredible book about how each of these behemoths achieved success. You may not be dreaming of building a trillion pound company but what it transferable from the information in this book to help to make your business stand out from the crowd.
If you are not sure about the purchase, although I can’t recommend it enough, just watch Scott Galloway on YouTube and you will understand why this book needs to be added to your audio library.

Crushing it – by Gary Vaynerchuk
You can’t really include a list of business books without one of Gary’s. I really respect Gary and his work although I can blow hot and cold when it comes to reading and listening to his content. However, I really, really like his books especially in audio form because he always adds to what is in the written format.
This is his latest book and I have to say I think it is his best. Gary is such a big advocate of social media and content creation and he does this at an exponentially greater amount than most others on the planet. I am not such a believer in his ridiculous work schedule but he knows his shit when it comes to where what and how to market your business.
Gary can be a little like Marmite you can love him or hate him but you can downplay his knowledge and I always recommend to clients that they read, watch and listen to him.
